Complete Book of Shadows by Michael Diamond (Book)

About 2 years ago Michael Diamond and I started talking about properly publishing his previously self published works Book of Shadows 1 and 2. Well this and that got in his way then my way and it has been a long journey to get here but now in one perfect bound volume (With a special twist we talk about at the end) including several never before published added bonus routines we are proud to release Michael Diamonds Complete Book Of Shadows. Here is a peek at the table of contents Return of the Highgate vampire – The performer spins a tale with remarkable results of vampire hunting blood ritual and more. Fire Blood and flying coffin pieces… who could ask for anything more Ignis fatuus – Tarot cards become the catalyst for a flashy finale. The Resurrection ofGgustav Von Shreck – A ritual ends with the performer transformed perhaps into some kind of MONSTER The Ghost Trap – A Druids Bottle and a friendly chat with a long trapped spirit. And finally a release for the suspended soul. Santa Sangre – Inspired by a film of the same title this routine involves Santeria and an animate disembodied arm. An unusual piece that could be done in the parlor OR stage. The Curse of the Monkeys Skull – An old ghost story comes to life as a couple wishes upon a Monkeys Skull. As with many such stories the end may not be what is expected and the couple makes a safe decision with startling results. Hoodoo Voodoo – A Voodoo doll and two volunteers to become Witch Doctor and victim. But where to stick the pin… Ah that is a question but the performer new the answer even before the volunteers were chosen. The Faces of Death – The performer shows his personal collection of mortuary pictures (And who amongst us doesnt have one of those) – a spectator selects one and interestingly enough the method of death HAPPENS in front of our eyes.

Read every word carefully. Nothing has been left out. If the description fools you you will be devastated by the effect. A spectator is freely chosen not a prearranged confederate or stooge. You walk to the other side of the stage and turn your back or are legitimately blindfolded. No peeking. The spectator is given an absolutely free choice of one of three paperback books. The spectator picks up any book thinks of any page number does not tell anyone the page number writes nothing down no force and the spectator can change his mind as often as he wishes. The spectator opens the book to that page number and thinks of the first word on the page. With no pumping nothing written no letter by letter spelling you name the word. The spectator thinks of any other page number tells no one the page number he can change his mind as often as he wishes and turns to that page. The spectator looks at the last word on the page. You tell him the word he is looking at

Within the 20 routines contained herein the brief directions or notes are given parenthetically while all the rest of the text represents spoken words. Much of Rons writing must be read aloud and approached as prose to get a feel for how it is to be delivered where the pauses go and how to tell the story for maximum impact. Seance by Scott Davis (Book)

The book SEANCE is the re-printed complete collection of all twelve SEANCE quarterly magazines devoted to spirit magic. Here is an excerpt from the books introduction written by Eugene Burger Seance first appeared in 1988. As each new issue arrived I was surprised at the amount of good material that was being contributed. Single effects entire routines plot ideas old methodologies revisited (I loved the piece on the Nelson Enterprises Ghost Gun) thoughts on theory and practice and much more. The pages of Seance magazine are a gold mine filled with thought-provoking ideas for anyone interested in a magical engagement with ghosts and spirits. .. since 1991 barely a month has gone by without some magician asking about Seance magazine – and where copies might be found. They are extremely hard to find and a complete file now sells for 200 and up It was a great source of pleasure to me therefore when I learned that Richard Kaufman had acquired the rights to Seance magazine for republication. It is a wonderful journal filled with some magical treasures and I am happy that it will again see the light of day. SEANCE the book has been re-printed and is now exclusively distributed by Murphys Magic Supplies. … Read more at our Magic Shop – World-of-magic.co.uk
