Effect You borrow a UK Pence coin from a spectator (you can even have them sign it) and while completely surrounded you show all sides of the coin and display both hands empty besides the borrowed coin. Now while keeping the coin in plain view you proceed to create an optical illusion as you say Folks this looks absolutely convincing when done properly. As I concentrate on your coin and begin to pull on it what do your eyes see Suddenly and to everyones shock and amazement the coin appears to melt and stretch between your fingers as if you had hands of fire As you stretch the borrowed coin like hot taffy you say Its an incredible optical illusion that looks very believable simply because … its true Your fingers come away from the coin to reveal that it has been stretched to twice its original length while in plain view of the audience the entire time As if this is not incredible enough you take it one step further. You place the coin in the outreached hand of a spectator or on your own palm and place your thumb on top of the coin as you explain your ability to affect metal with your mind. Folks absolutely no strength is used during my demonstration I only use the power of my mind and Ill prove it With some light pressure from your thumb and a little concentration you achieve the impossible. As your thumb slowly rolls off the stretched coin an amazing impression is seen pressed into the metal – your very own thump print You handout the badly malformed and stretched out coin to your spectators for examination and to their bewilderment the embedded fingerprint cannot be removed and is permanently pressed into the steel You also have the ability to press the identity of a selected card on the coin Very visual you have two different conclusions to choose from or you can perform both effects which are taught on the accompanying DVD Key Points Absolutely no ugly or difficult moves Can easily be performed fully surrounded 360 degrees No bending devices hidden in the hands sleeves pockets or person Super supper clean brilliantly effective and absolutely convincing No sleeves or sleeving techniques used Can be handed out for thorough examination Coin can be initialized or signed by the spectator At all times you have the choice of revealing a fingerprint impression or card amp pip identification Instant reset You receive multiple gaffs that offer different conclusions amp professional instructional DVDWhat you get A beautifully produced instructional DVD that teaches you the simple yet highly effect routines that are easily achievable with this duo-set along with the necessary machined devices designed to perform these mind-bending routines. Manipulation without Tears by Jeff McBride Effect Sleight of hand magic is perhaps the most technically demanding of all areas of performance magic and perhaps the most rewarding. One must have both drive and diligence to perform sleight of hand magic. I meet many magicians who have the desire to be a great manipulator but they work on their excuses more than on their technique…. My hands are too small or My hands dont work as well as they used to or I dont have the time to practice manipulation as much as I would like to. I have offered up this material for the magician who has only limited skill or time to practice. Often complicated sleight of hand routines take many months or years of practice before you can experience the results. These routines and effects are designed with minimum practice involved and almost immediate results

Professors Nightmare (Worlds Greastest Magic) (DVD)

February 9, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

In the mid-Fifties Bob Carver created a sensation with a rope effect he created based on ideas from Hen Fetsch. In fact before he could be awarded the IBM Originality Trophy in 1957 he had to expose his creations pure sleight-of-hand method to the judges. Later dubbed Professors Nightmare by Gene Gordon the effect of three completely examinable ropes of differing lengths magically becoming the same size has become a classic of magic. On this DVD youll meet six different performers all with their own singular takes on this wonderful effect. Funnyman Michael Finney starts off with his version honed by years of exposition on countless comedy club stages and he shares many performance tips that make the routine both easier and stronger. Dan Fleshman follows with a great walk-around version that would fit quite nicely into the repertoire of any strolling performer. The great Bob Reads performance is an object lesson in how to take a well-known effect and make it truly your own while Al Schneiders version brings the mystery of this effect to the close-up table. Marc DeSouza is next with a stage routine choreographed to music that features a synthesis of ideas that begin and end with a single length of rope. Finally Dan Tong also begins with a single piece of rope continues through the Professors Nightmare sequence and ends with a completely restored length a perfect routine for working a large table while strolling. Many have relegated the Professors Nightmare to a stock trick but this is a mistake. As Michael Finney so aptly says Dont be embarrassed to do it. Its a great trick. The layman loves it…and youll like it Professors Nightmare – Michael Finney Professors Nightmare – Dan Fleshman Professors Nightmare – Bob Read (performance only) Professors Nightmare – Al Schneider Full Circle – Marc DeSouza Ropes – Dan TongRunning Time Approximately 55mins… Read more at our Magic Shop – World-of-magic.co.uk
